What an absolutely charming and great hotel with COURTEOUS staff with lovely staff members!

Wonderful small small family run hotel with knowledgeable and best stuff with lovely staff members. Bright and modern rooms, great views of the sea. Good location close to a funicular station, easy to get around. Walking distance to a shopping area and all the main stores across the street...

The balcony provided a fine sea view. The breakfasts included a variety of fresh options such as good fruits and hot coffee made to order.

The room keys are stored on a rack accessible to all guests, which feels a bit insecure. The balcony was smaller than the listing suggested. The room faced a busy road. I recommend requesting a room on a higher floor for a more peaceful experience.

Reasonably clean hotel with particularly good location in Taormina near to historical centre and cable car to beach as well as the Corso Umberto. Exceptionally clean rooms with comfy beds and a balcony plus panoramic view, and accommodating service.

The location is ideal. Just a few minutes walk to the bus station and the center of Taormina. The view from the breakfast terrace is fine. I enjoyed a lovely breakfast with plenty of fresh options, especially the fruit and hot coffee made to order. The staff were helpful, especially Daniela and Matteo, who offered great local tips and recommendations. Despite the minor inconveniences, the charming atmosphere and attentive service were good.

The spacious terrace offered amazing views and was perfect for enjoying a glass of wine under the stars.

Breakfast choices were rather limited and could use more variety to enhance the experience.

We liked the entire experience starting with the great staff, well appointed and furnished rooms, good info guide on where to eat etc and an excellent breakfast. We have already recommended the hotel to friends who will be visiting in May 2011 in a group of 6.

We were on the 1st floor and had a view looking south down the coast. It was not necessary to book a sea view as we were out exploring every day and night. The location was great and we booked parking which was a necessity.

The staff were very accommodating and helpful with information. The room had a lovely view and was spotlessly clean. When there was a problem with our water they sorted it out efficiently. The breakfast provided was really good. We had a lovely ten nights stay there and would recommend it to friends and family.

Great room, good breakfast and very nice location - right near everything in Taormina.

La Pensione Svizzera made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived, offering us a coffee before we had even checked in. The staff was very friendly and accommodating and nothing was too much trouble. We would like to commend Lucia, Sonja, Luisa and Maria who made us feel like part of their "family" and not just guests. The view from our room, which had a balcony, was breathtaking. The rooms had been newly decorated and the bathroom was large and modern. Its location near the bus terminal was ideal.

The hotel did not have a lift.

This place was magical. Perfect setting overlooking the sea, within close walking distance of Corso Umberto (main street). Lovely hidden garden with nice comfortable seating, and breakfast terrace overlooking sea. All rooms have wi-fi. Very clean and comfortable. Will reccommend to all my friends and hope to return some day.

Climbing the stairs to your room can be brutal with a lot of baggage, seeing as they have no lift. But everything else about this place makes up for this one shortfall.
